ten thoughts tuesday
1. my online class starts today. i'm taking biology and i'm already dreading the earth worm dissection... even if it is online.
2. the roof people working on a house near me listen to the radio all day, since 8 this morning i've had "more than a feeling" stuck in my head. and those are the only words i know.
3. i've decided that my favorite part of summer is s'mores
4. i used my straightener to iron something this morning and it took me back to my dorm year
5. i rented my textbook from amazon, it's the first time i did it and i hope it works out
6. me and my mother are meeting my tuscaloosa roommate for lunch today, i'm excited!
7. will snapchat ever go out of style? i think no
8. my mother took me, her, and one of my sisters shopping the other day and my obsession with maxi dresses grew even more. they are just so practical
9. i got olivia new sand the other day and she has been burying herself ever since, i guess that means she likes it?

high five for friday
happy friday every one! i hope everyone's week went great! i am meeting a friend for lunch today at one of my favorite knoxville resturants and i am so excited!

2. my neighborhood pool opens this weekend!!!
3. i mentioned the grage sale last week but i cleaned out my room including the closet and dressers and my room is so much lighter; or as mother said, "clean spirits" what ever that means. i have to admit that it was a lot easier throwing tons of stuff away after not using it for three years.
4. during my cleaning out i found these ear plugs, they couldn't come at a better time because mother and father love to wake up early and since i can hear tons of things in my room these will come in handy more often than not. i told my mother the other day i thought the lawn mower was going to come right through my window, i mean seriously who mows the lawn at 8am?!

1. i actually got my grades last a couple weeks ago but i never posted them here. i am very proud of myself and the hard work i put in to make these happen, hopefully next semester i can get no c's. and it just prooves i'm in the major i'm meant for - i never got good grades in college till i switched my major.

1. i'm obsessed with elizabeth james new perfumes. i have the white and i desperately need to convince myself i don't need the black any time soon.
2. did anyone else watch greys on thursday and feel like they left it open for a spin off show for cristina? i thought they did a great job with saying goodbye to her though!
3. muffiin is sitting next to me while i write this and he is giving me a death glare for my keyboard making so much noise
4. no one can ever have enough tcby
5. would someone please like to come clean out my closet and dressers? i'll pay you... in hugs :)
6. cat sneezes are the cutest thing ever
7. i wish that knoxville had a chicken salad chick... so yummy
8. will and grace binge-a-thons are what make mornings better
9. i could really go for a vanilla coke right now

3. i helped a friend photograph a wedding this past weekend in nashville and it was so much fun! she's really talented and if you ever need a photographer from nashville to knoxville she's your girl

throwback thrusday
in honor of mother's day, throw back to that time my mom and i almost peed ourselves on the skydeck in chicago. i may or may not have crawled on and off and that is why we are sitting down. not ashamed at all.
let them eat cupcakes
i was a little bored yesterday so i decided to make something sweet for my family, i just grabbed a plain old yellow cake box mix from the pantry and made cupcakes real quick. after pulling them out of the oven i realized we had no frosting so i decided to try to tackle homemade butter cream frosting.
it was super easy and i just took the recipe from here
i decided to play with some food coloring to find the perfect summer shade of mint since pastels are so in right now; i added three drops of blue and three drops of green
baking wouldn't be complete without a mess ;)
i arranged the cupcakes into two pretty cake stands and by the time i went to get my camera to grab a picture there weren't many left. no worries though, i stocked up on baking goods at the store today and will be baking more this weekend!

these are the beauty products that i wear every time i do my make up. i almost always have concealer, mascara, and brow powder on. something i forgot to include in the pictures is the HD microfinish powder from sephora, i own this and put it on everyday whether or not i put any other make up on; it just makes your face less oily and is a life saver on hot, humid days in tuscaloosa. i also have a ton of friends who use the e.l.f. version and love it - so if i ever run out i will switch to that!
i love the bene-tint blush, you can make it as dark or light as you want depending on how many swipes you put on. i also love that i can put it on my lips for a great natural look.
the naked 2 palette is something that every girl needs in their makeup bag... i'm exaggerating but really it is awesome. i'm not much of a big eye shadow person day to day but this palette makes it easy when i do wear eyeshadow. with all the color options you can really have so many different looks.
pool bag essentials
well i'm officially on summer vacation for a few weeks until my summer classes start up. luckily i am only taking them online so i will still have lots of lounge time to spend with my cat or by the pool. here are a few of my pool bad essentials.
i always need a bottle of iced cold water near me at all times when i am out in the sun, sunglasses are a must and i have been eyeballing these beauties. i bring my phone and earbuds to listen to music and my iPad is great for reading a new summer book. i love the Neutrogena clear face sunscreen, i don't really have sensitive skin but this goes on smooth and leaves a matte look rather than making your face all greasy; and of course a towel and a cute lilly bag to tote all of the essentials in.

happy cinco de mayo!
i thought i'd share a super easy guacamole recipe from my roommate.
you'll need:
2 ripe avocados
1 tbsp of fresh lemon or lime lime juice
2 tbsp of diced tomato
2 tbsp to 1/4 cup of chopped red onion
2 tbsp of finely chopped cilantro
little dash of pepper and salt
if you want spice add a little cayenne pepper
1. cut avocado in half and remove seed. she usually scores the inside of the avocado and then scoops it into a mixing bow. then mash the avocado with a fork or a avocado mashing tool
2. add salt, lime or lemon juice, pepper, tomatoes, onion, and cilantro. mix it together
3. eat!!
grab the tostitos, mexican cheese dip, guac, and margs! happy cinco de mayo!
